Some towns are "small" towns and then there are towns where people jokingly say "Don't blink as we go through this town or you will miss it." Those are what I call micro towns.
My mom was raised in an Oklahoma micro town called Teresita in Cherokee County. I can't find anything except this Google Map about Teresita and a photo of this little piece of Spring Creek which is for sale through Whistle Creek Realty (free advertisement!). I have fond memories of mom loading us in the car and letting us know we were going to Spring Creek in Teresita! WOO HOO!

Did you notice what I said? I cannot find ANYTHING about Teresita online! That is one of the goals of this site. I want to give people in micro towns the recognition they deserve. Are you from a micro town in Oklahoma? You are just as important as anyone from a major city or small town! Do you have a small business or cottage industry that you want to share with the rest of the world?
Do you want to advertise on the Internet and catch up with the "Information Age" but, have a limited budget?
Contact me if you would like help setting up a small business page ad for your business. I will provide the consultation and teach you how to manage your own content for a small fee.
If you are from a micro town and think your business does not need to be on the world wide web, then think again. For one thing, everyone pulls up information on their cell phone while traveling these days. If someone is headed for your town and wants to know if there is a store or gas station or other business, then it will gain you a customer. During these depressed economic times, people are making a return to sentimental and simpler times of the past and they would enjoy your handcrafts and micro town hospitality.
Do you have photos or memories of Teresita? Send them to joanrenae@gmail.com and I will post them!
